Dark Mode is the new trend in the town. If you haven’t come across it yet, the basic twist is that it swaps in a black-dominant theme for the traditional white and bright colors that have been the backdrop for most app layouts since the beginning of app layouts.
Today in this post I’ll show you “How to enable dark mode for Gmail in your Desktop and Mobile Device”
Dark mode for Gmail is now available on both desktops as well as mobile devices.
Why Dark Mode?
There are a lot of reasons to give it a try.
Studies show that darker pixels consume less power than white ones, meaning dark mode for Gmail should make your battery last a little longer between charges if you’re spending a lot of time in the app.
Less strain on your eyes
The dark color also reduces eye strain for users. It also provides more contrast between the read and unread messages, which makes it easier to manage your inbox.
Well, this is just an opinion, but the dark mode looks fancier than that of the stark white design.
How to activate dark mode on the desktop
To activate dark mode for Gmail on the desktop, go to Gmail.com and click the ‘Settings’ icon (shaped like a gear) at the top right underneath your profile picture.
